Karim Benzema couldn’t have hit it any cleaner.
The Real Madrid forward executed a perfect volley to level Tuesday’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Chelsea, erasing Christian Pulisic’s opener in the first half.
Benzema moved into a tie for fourth place all time among Champions League scorers, matching Madrid legend Raul on 71 goals. Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Robert Lewandowski have more goals in the competition.
