Modric renews the contract with Real Madrid

An agreement was reached between Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and his club, Real Madrid, to renew the contract of the player. This new contract will be valid until June 30, 2021.

With this new deal, “Los Blancos” have been assured that the winner of the “Golden Ball” will be part of the Madrid team until the age of 36, as well as ending speculation about his departure in the summer.

Despite having had plenty of news about Inter’s desire to transfer Modric, the departure from Santiago Bernabeu had never seriously ignored the player.

Kroati joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2012, when Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. His transfer had not been easy since Tottenham manager Daniel Levy did not want to allow the sale of Croat.

Modric needed a lot of time to adapt to his new team, but in his second season with Real Madrid, he became one of the Los Blancos stars who have shown their gratitude by provided a new contract.

Last season was the best in Modric’s career and for appearances like Real Madrid in the Champions League, as with Croatia at the World Cup, he was awarded prizes by UEFA, FIFA and France Football for the best player of the year.

Zidane or Lampard replacing Sarri in Chelsea

British media reported that Zinedine Zidane and Frank Lampard are the two most serious candidates to replace Maurizio Sarr as Chelsea coach.

According to Sky Sports, the pair has already been identified as potential substitutes for Sarri after an internal board discussion by the blue board.

The British broadcaster explains that the Chelsea board is very concerned about the latest appearances and team results.

The Blue have accepted 10 goals in the last two matches against Bournemouth and Manchester City before being eliminated by the FA Cup from Manchester United.

This has led the executives to seriously consider Sarri’s dismissal not yet one year after his appointment to the bench.

Zidane is currently out of work as he led Real Madrid towards the three titles in the Champions League and the Spanish league from 2016 until the end of 2018.

Lampard, on the other hand, is Chelsea legend and is currently Derby County coach, who has brought two points close to a playoff spot to be promoted to the Premier League.

The French wants Chelsea to accept his terms and ambitions, including holding Eden Hazard at the club and £ 200m to make new purchases.

“Paitek now worth 80 million euros”

Krzysztof Piatek was sold to Milan for 35m euros last month, but now he is worth less than 80m euros, according to Genoa’s sports director Giorgio Perinetti.

The Polish striker was virtually unknown when Genoa bought him for 4.5m euros from Cracovia Karko in July 2018, but in 26 games in Serie A and the Italian Cup since then, he scored 25 goals.

Including six goals in five games for Milan since its transfer in January.

“Piatek has now entered another dimension in the transfer market,” Perinetti said.

“Genoa risked with him and from nothing he won 35 million euros. A club like we should do it. In October, Piatek has doubled the value, he is now worth less than 70-80 million euros, “he added.
