Watch: Saul scores another brilliant solo goal against German opposition

Saul Niguez has done it again.

The Atletico Madrid man scored yet another oh-so-pretty goal Tuesday against his side’s German opponent in the Champions League. He streaked down the right with a smart solo run, inched his way through defenders in the box, and finally beat Bayer Leverkusen for the opener with an incredible left-footed strike.

You wouldn’t be wrong for thinking it looked familiar; last year, Saul notched a similar-looking goal against Bayern Munich with a solo run that ended in an almost like-for-like left-footed shot.

Teenage stud Mbappe roasts City, becomes UCL's 2nd-youngest French scorer

Get used to hearing Kylian Mbappe’s name.

Monaco’s 18-year-old phenom, tipped to be the next superstar of French football, gave his side a 2-1 lead at Manchester City on Tuesday when the blossoming teenager latched onto a long, aerial ball and smacked a right-footed effort beyond Willy Caballero.

The goal followed an equaliser from Radamel Falcao eight minutes earlier, as a contest that promised to be enthralling delivered exactly that during an end-to-end opening half at the Etihad.

Griezmann becomes Atletico's all-time leader in Champions League scoring

Antoine Griezmann will go down as one of the most lethal scorers to ever pull on an Atletico Madrid shirt, and now, at least in the Champions League, the numbers reflect that.

The French striker fired home his 13th Champions League goal for the Rojiblancos in Tuesday’s Round of 16 first-leg clash with Bayer Leverkusen, and the tally saw him surpass Luis Aragones on the club’s European competition scoring list.

Assuming he remains with the Spanish side next season, Griezmann will have plenty of opportunities to extend his lead.
