Inter wants Benzema in exchange for Icard

The leaders of the Italian club, Inter, are ready to share the streets with the Argentine striker Mauro Icardin.

Inter is seeking to bring Karim Benzema to San Siro as part of the Mauro Icard transfer contract to Real Madrid, reports Don Balon.

The Italian club wants to remove the Argentine striker because of the problems that have been caused by the contract renewal talks. Since both sides failed to reach an agreement, Inter removed the captain’s ribbon.

As a result of this Inter’s decision, Icardi declined to play in any club match since then, the beginning of last month. The Argentine joined the training with his teammates last week only.

Because of these problems, Inter will not insist on keeping the Icicle in the squad and the Argentine is believed to want to transfer to Real Madrid. To accept this deal, Inter wants Benzeman as part of it.

However, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane did not want to allow Benzema to leave because of the good shape the Frenchman has shown this season.

Icardi, 26, has scored 15 goals and has assisted three more during the 28 appearances for Inter this season. While, Benzema, 30, has made 46 appearances for Real Madrid during this season, during which he scored 23 goals and assisted ten more.
